Tomáš Kubínek – Writer & Performer

With appearances in over 30 countries and a professional career spanning three decades, Mr. Kubínek has won the hearts of thousands in theaters, opera houses, television specials, on Broadway and at international festivals of culture. In addition to his work as a creator and performer, he draws on his talents as a director, speaker and teacher to excite and engage entire communities wherever he performs.

Maestro Timothy Hankewich – Music Director & Collaborator

Maestro Hankewich’s years of experience in bringing classical repertoire to diverse audiences have made him the perfect collaborator in bringing Mr. Kubínek’s work to the symphony stage. Prior to his five years as music director of Orchestra Iowa, he spent seven years as resident conductor with the Kansas City Symphony. Winner of the prestigious Aspen Conducting Award, the artistic and charismatic Maestro Hankewich is a popular guest conductor with orchestras across North America.

Steve Shanley – Score & New Arrangements

Over one thousand of Steve Shanley’s arrangements have been performed by marching bands, jazz bands, choirs, brass bands and orchestras throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Besides his teaching position at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Professor Shanley keeps a busy schedule as a conductor, clinician, adjudicator and guest accompanist for touring Broadway productions.

Maestro Ernest Richardson & Omaha Symphony – Premiere Partners

Maestro Richardson is in his nineteenth year as Resident Conductor with the Omaha Symphony. In addition to conducting the successful Symphony Pops series, Maestro Richardson is the chief architect of Omaha Symphony’s outreach and education programs. He is also music director of the Steamboat Springs Orchestra in Colorado, as well as artistic director and CEO of the Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory.

Chuck Swanson, Executive Director of Hancher Auditorium – Commission & Collaboration

For the past seventeen years Chuck Swanson has led Hancher Auditorium in sharing the arts with communities throughout Iowa and in creating newly commissioned projects that continue to tour worldwide. Since its construction over thirty years ago, The University of Iowa’s Hancher Auditorium has been presenting the finest in world culture, with performances by such luminaries as Mikhail Baryshnikov, Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma, The Joffrey Ballet and countless others.
